Boston can be very tricky when you need to rent an apartment that is dog friendly. Once you find an apartment or even buy, it is very important that dog owners are realistic about their dogs behavior. Incessant barking during the day will get you and your dog out faster than you got in. There is a fantastic program by the AKC called "The Canine Good Citizen Certification" where you and your dog work together developing good behavior skills. These same skills are essential for close living situations. The good citizen program is actually a fun way to spend time with your dog as well.

I have a blog, fidoloves.com, about living with your dog in Boston and work as a real estate agent solely focused on the needs of dog owners.
